Another positive test for West Nile

The second positive test for West Nile was found in a Woodstock trap, the first result was from a mosquito trap in Ingersoll last month.

To help control the mosquito population, Oxford County Public Health & Emergency Services is increasing mosquito surveillance and have begun larvaciding public catch basins.

This another that we need to protect ourselves and young ones against mosquito's this can be done by using bug repellent with DEET, searing light-coloured clothing, and wearing long sleeves and pants when mosquitoes are most active.  Also remember to reduce the amount of outside standing water to help limit mosquito breeding grounds
