Email Scam!!!
I thought I should pass on a recent email I received and my thoughts
regarding it.
I received the following:
FROM: Publishers Clearing House
PCH WINNER
Congratulation!!!
You are one of the PUBLISHERS CLERAING HOUSE mega winner of FOUR HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR in the just concluded online draw.Do reply back
immediately for more details.

ONLINE CO-ORDINATOR.
I sent a reply asking how I had won if I didn't enter. They replied that me email was randomly selected and being the curious person I am, I played along to see just how far it would go. So after some back and forth they informed me that my cheque was ready for delivery and requested I choose one of two option there were as follows:

Subject: Re: I'm a winner
Good Day Karie,
We are proud to inform you that we have completed issuing of you check and it has been packaged for delivery to you preferred delivery address. Kindly see our delivery options below and get back to us with your preferred option.
MODE OF DELIVERY
1. Courier Delivery Service (EXPRESS): This is a kind of transfer where we will
have to issue a certified check to the delivery company so that they can deliver the loan to you at your door step. If you chose this option, it will cost you $195.00 for the delivery and it takes between 4-10 hours.
2. Courier Delivery Service (ECONOMY): This is a kind of transfer where we will
have to issue a certified check to the delivery company so that they can deliver the loan to you at your door step. If you chose this option, it will cost you $155.00 for the delivery and it takes between 10 24 10 hours.
You are hereby advised to get back to us with any of your best choicein these options above as soon as possible so we can have your mailed to you.

I replied to this stating I had no intention of paying a delivery fee and got no response. I have heard of scams like this and was therefore aware of the outcome however, I worry about people out there who are not aware and may pay either the $195 or $155 for delivery of a bogus cheque!!! Worn your friends and family, especially those who may be more vulnerable.
