Evacuation in Drumbo

As most of you already know from the commotion or have now hear it on the news that approximately 120 residence were evacuated here in Drumbo Thursday evening due to gas fumes.
Police say around 9 o'clock, they received a call for assistance from the Drumbo Fire Department after strong gasoline fumes were detected in the area of Harmer Crescent and Prospect Street.  The evacuated residence were redirected to the fire hall, I also know many leaned on friends and family for a last minute sleep over, I was one of them.

The Ministry of Environment's Hazardous Material crew used absorbent materials to soak up roughly ten gallons of gasoline that had been dumped into a sewer.  As gas levels decreased in clean up, the Drumbo Fire department flushed the sewer with thousands of litres of water.

The OPP and Ministry say their investigation is ongoing and would like to speak with anyone who has information about this incident (OPP 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-TIPS).
