Drumbo Soccer Registration

That's right, it's the time of year to start thinking about the upcoming soccer season!  Registrations will be held at the DOC on February 23rd and March 23rd times to be announced. 

SCHOOL IS OPEN

All TVDSB Elementary schools will be OPEN and classes will be running for students on Friday, January 11, 2013.  Transportation is running as usual.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy evening as we say goodbye to 2012 and HELLO to 2013!!

 

Santa's Visit

I want to thank Santa for taking time out of his very busy schedule to make one last stop to Drumbo this past Friday evening.  I know that my girls along with many other kids from town enjoyed seeing him arrive on the Christmas train as well as the special treats and hot chocolate that were provided.  Also a big thanks to all Santas little helpers for making this a special night!

I thought I should pass on a recent email I received and my thoughts
regarding it.

I received the following:

You are one of the PUBLISHERS CLERAING HOUSE mega winner of FOUR HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR in the just concluded online draw.Do reply back
immediately for more details.

I sent a reply asking how I had won if I didn't enter.  They replied that me email was randomly selected and being the curious person I am, I played along to see just how far it would go.  So after some back and forth they informed me that my cheque was ready for delivery and requested I choose one of two option there were as follows:

have to issue a certified check to the delivery company so that they can deliver the loan to you at your door step. If you chose this option, it will cost you $195.00 for the delivery and it takes between 4-10 hours.

I replied to this stating I had no intention of paying a delivery fee and got no response.  I have heard of scams like this and was therefore aware of the outcome however, I worry about people out there who are not aware and may pay either the $195 or $155 for delivery of a bogus cheque!!!  Worn your friends and family, especially those who may be more vulnerable.
